How to Use the ACCJ Business & Services Directory

There are two key components of this platform to connect, promote, and boost opportunities for business growth:
  • A Searchable Database: an online database of commercial member companies with descriptions to easily find the business services you need
  • Spotlights, featuring news and achievements from the ACCJ commercial memberships

1. About Spotlights
The ACCJ welcomes submissions to the Spotlights section from commercial memberships to highlight major business and industry news and company achievements within the ACCJ community and throughout the greater Japanese business community.

 2. Submission Criteria

Key criteria for articles included in Spotlights section:

Major Business Announcement: Content may include major business announcements and achievements, such as:
  • Information or data relevant to the international business community in Japan, such as results of company-led survey or research on key industry topics

Concise: Spotlight article length is 100 words. Companies are encouraged to include a link to the external company source or website at the end of the brief article for readers to find more information.

Newsworthy:  Topics must be relevant to the international business community in Japan and in support of the Chamber’s mission of developing commerce between the U.S. and Japan; promoting the interests of U.S. companies and members; and improving the international business environment in Japan.

Linked to public source: Information and sources should be publicly available: (e.g., a company press release, corporate news page or blog, or official company website). Please provide a link to the source in your submission, which will also be included in the Spotlight.

Language: Content must be in English. English with Japanese translation is also acceptable.

Note:
  • Spotlights will not include advertisements, offers or promotions.
  • Spotlights are a commercial membership benefit; no payment is required to be featured. Please see membership information here.

3. Submission and Editorial Review Process

Spotlights content is generated by member companies, not the ACCJ.
  • The ACCJ Communications team will receive all submissions and will only post articles that adhere to the criteria stated above. We will review for grammatical errors and check for article length, per the criteria, but otherwise will not alter the content.
  • The ACCJ Communications team plans to update new Spotlights on a weekly basis, depending on the frequency and number of submissions received.
  • Articles will be published in the order in which they were received. Commercial memberships can feature one Spotlight article per month.

4. How to Submit:
  • Please enter submissions through our online submission form.
  • If the article adheres to the guidelines, the Communications team will notify the contact by e-mail that the Spotlight will be published.
  • The ACCJ retains the right to refuse publication of submissions that do not adhere to guidelines.

Reminders
  • Submissions that do not adhere to guidelines will not be accepted.
  • Incomplete forms may be returned with request for more information.
  • Advertisements or offers promotions will not be accepted.
  • Confirm your submission meets the criteria and abides by the usage policy here.
